There may have been a drastic decline in your income. You serve the Lord…you love Him with everything within you. But now you don’t know why He’s not showing up to help with your finances, like you’re praying. It’s gotten so bad that you’re barely making ends meet or maybe you’re in such a mass load of debt that you can’t even imagine getting out.
But like Elisha asked  the widow (in 2 Kings 4) … I now ask you, what do you have in your hands? Rather, what do you have in you? You may not recognize it, but you possess something that is valuable…something people would be willing to pay for. In someone’s area of emptiness, you carry what is needed to fill that void.
What do you have to pour into the lives of those who need you? It could be the ability to cook, clean, teach, consult, coach, sing, dance, play an instrument, paint, write and the list goes on.
Use your ability to pour into the vessels around you. You may not know the value of the oil (or ability) you carry until you see how much people are willing to pay for it. Never underestimate the blessing you carry. It was given to you to be a blessing to others.
Proverbs 18:16 says, “A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.”
  • Monetize your abilities so you’ll be able to pay off your debts.
  • Live off of everything that comes thereafter.
  • Fund the Kingdom with your overflow.

Inspired by 2 Kings 4:1-7
