“I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.” Ephesians 6:20
Paul was in a filthy prison at this time and he didn’t allow his surroundings to hinder him. We’ve all had trying times. Times when giving up seems to be the easy way out. I believe as Paul had physical chains in that prison, he was a free man. When we have chains or strongholds in our mind, it is worse than any physical bondage man could ever put on us. I pray that we will have the drive…the passion that Paul had. May we never become captives of the mental prison we’ve created in our minds, causing us to lose sight of all the promises…the blessings that are present and those to come.
